Pine Essential Oil (Pinus sylvestris) distilled needle oil

Our Pine Essential Oil has a strong fresh invigorating aroma.  Steam distilled from the needles of a tall evergreen tree with long needles and brown cones.

Ancient Romans and Greeks used Pine to treat respiratory problems and muscular aches. The Native Americans used it to prevent scurvy and also to used pine needles in their bedding to repel lice and fleas. The ancient Egyptians used pine kernels in their cooking. Pine was also used for fevers, arthritis, rheumatism, muscular pain and respiratory conditions. It now commonly incorporated in the fragrances of air-fresheners, disinfectants, detergents, soaps, and toiletries.

Pine has a powerful antiseptic quality a great oil for the cold and flu season. Diffusing this oil can help to clear a stuffy nose. Used in massage, its rubefacient and diuretic properties are invaluable for muscular aches and pains, arthritis, and rheumatism .

It also has a mild analgesic action that really helps ease the pain of stiff joints and muscles. Pine oil acts as a tonic to the whole system, hence making it good for convalescence as well as boosting the emotions, and uplifting the spirits.

How to Use

For Adults only (Please seek professional advice for any other use)

Diffusion: use 6-8 drops in water in your diffuser

Massage: add 10-15 drops to 1 tablespoon (20ml) of your choice of carrier oil or unscented massage oil.

Baths: mix  3-4 drops with a teaspoon (5ml) of Essential Oil Dispersant or Unscented Liquid Soap and add to your bath water.
