Rosemary Essential Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) distilled leaf oil

Our Rosemary Essential Oil has a strong woody aroma with notes that are reminiscent of eucalyptus. Steam distilled from an evergreen bush with grey-green needle shaped leaves and small pale blue flowers.

Rosemary has a clear to pale yellow colour and a thin consistency. Along with a strong penetrating aroma

Used by the ancient Egyptians and considered sacred by the Greeks and Romans. During the Middle Ages provided protection from evil spirits and against the plague. Rosemary known for strengthening the memory and helping the brain. It is also associated with the fidelity of lovers, and was presented to wedding guests as a gift.

Rosemary essential oil is a very versatile. Used to treat a wide range of conditions such as arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, colds, colitis, dandruff, hair loss, headache, poor memory, muscular aches and pains, nervous exhaustion, stress and the list goes on…

Rosemary is strongly stimulating especially to the mind, making it the perfect study oil or to use for concentration or for mental fatigue. This property is the reason behind the old saying “Rosemary for remembrance”.

Rosemary is also stimulating to the muscles and is a useful addition to massage oils for tired or aching muscles or to improve circulation.

Best avoided during pregnancy.

 

How to Use

For Adults only (Please seek professional advice for any other use)

Diffusion: use 6-8 drops in water in your diffuser

Massage: add 10-15 drops to 1 tablespoon (20ml) of your choice of carrier oil or unscented massage oil.

Baths: mix  3-4 drops with a teaspoon (5ml) of Essential Oil Dispersant or Unscented Liquid Soap and add to your bath water
